Finished Radio edit:

This image shows that the radio show ends at the ten minute mark.

We used a mic and a tascam to record our radio show. Whilst the presenters talked into the microphone another person would have their headphones plugged into the mic so they could hear the presenters and listen out for any mistakes or static noise.
We had to re record the first part of the show as it only played through one ear and the sound quality was poor.

We edited the radio show on Audition because it is one of the best programs for editing sound. We edited the show by cutting and adding different parts to make the time of the show fit exactly with our running order.

BBC Guidelines: Door-stepping

The BBC guidelines for Door-stepping was applied when we were taking vox pops. Door stepping is trying to get an interview or film someone without arrangement or agreement from the person before hand. This is done in public areas (so it is not illegal) such as streets or courthouses.
This guideline applied to us as we interviewed people we did not know in a public space.
There is a liability risk as it can be, in some cases, dangerous as the interviewee could attack or injure one of the crew members or the crew could get injured any other way. To prevent this from happening or lower the risk of this happening, the crew should follow the rules and regulations of door-stepping and a senior member of staff should be consulted. The crew were to keep a low profile as to not attract any unwanted attention or come across as threatening to any of the public.

Job role:

As the co-producer, it was my job to work alongside the producer in making sure the radio show was running fine and that the producers were sticking to their times. I worked alongside the producer in sorting out the times and organising the presenters when they went out for interviews. during pre-production I helped the producer with the running order. With the production of the show I was with the presenters whilst they recorded the show and made sure they weren't going too slow and made sure you could hear them through the microphone nicely. Any job the producer couldn't do or needed help with it was my job or the assistant producers job to help assure the job got done.
